What I’m currently working on:
Together with I am redesigning the website of , for which we have done a few site visits in Wales in the past year. Ben and I have developed a practice around while working on the website of , and are now exploring this further with Peak and soon also for Informal Structures.
Ben and I are also collaborating with and a team of researchers at the University of Utrecht on a website that maps profiles, definitions and references within the Re/Presenting Europe consortium.
I am regularly working as a freelance graphic designer for . On show right now are Basel Abbas & Ruanne Abou-Rahmne’s Prisoners of Love: Until the Sun of Freedom and the group exhibition Draw Redraw Withdraw. A major survey exhibition of Moshekwa Langa opens in October.
In the fall I will teach a few coding classes at the graphic design department of Artez in Arnhem, substituting for . I will also be returning as a thesis design tutor at Design Academy Eindhoven’s Social Design Masters.
With we are doing an experiment around income-pooling: pooling all our individual earnings into one collective pot and paying ourselves/each other a stable monthly salary of €2K. We have been working on setting up this support structure since about two years and have been running the pilot since the start of 2026. It’s both scary and exciting. We also created an installation around it which is currently on show in Eindhoven as part of The Collective Response, an exhibition by Foundation We Are.
Next to all of this I am quietly trying to nurture my autonomous practice, which I have put on the back burner for the past years to focus on commissioned work. I am still fascinated by the question of : how to create containers for sustained attention; how to preserve or restore one’s sense of orientation and duration through documentation; how to synthesise productivity and non-productive through by-productivity... Looking for a good context to develop this, maybe a residency?
